Two-stage adiabatic climate control solution for challenges in the bakery industry

Vita-Sütő Kft. is one of Hungary's leading manufacturers of frozen bakery products. The company has developed continuously since its foundation — its products are made on fully automated production lines, and in 2021 it carried out a large-scale modernisation at its Komárom site.

At the company's Komárom site, maintaining an appropriate indoor temperature and ensuring intensive indoor air exchange presented a considerable challenge in every season. Seasonal variations made it difficult for the company to maintain an ideal working environment, which was problematic from the perspective of both productivity and employee wellbeing.

The IntrCooll two-stage adiabatic cooling and ventilation system installed by Oxyma provided free cooling operation during the winter and transitional periods, while in summer it guaranteed an optimal indoor temperature — appropriate in terms of both productivity and employee comfort — thereby resolving the bakery's climate problems.

The IntrCooll has also proved a considerable help in supplying fresh air. The high negative pressure caused by the process extraction of the ovens draws increased volumes of outdoor air through doors and windows — air laden with dust, pollen and insects — which degrades indoor air quality and is highly unfavourable from a hygiene perspective. Air volumes of this magnitude can only be moved with low input energy consumption using two-stage adiabatic technology.

The OxyVap evaporative cassettes used in the IntrCooll also offer outstanding hygienic properties, as they are made of inorganic material, feature a self-cleaning mechanism and hold both VDI 6022 and Biomaster certification.
