As summer temperatures intensified, Harman Becker Kft. faced a difficult problem at its microelectronics facility in Székesfehérvár. Rising indoor temperatures were affecting the efficiency of production processes and threatened to reduce productivity.
To remedy the problem, an IntrCooll Plus two-stage adiabatic air cooler was installed, which draws air at 27 °C and 40% RH from the warehouse adjacent to the production hall and supplies it to the target area at a temperature of 14–15 °C. As the IntrCooll's factory-fitted fan would not have generated sufficient pressure to supply the fabric duct used for air distribution, Oxyma's specialists replaced it with a higher-pressure fan controlled by a frequency inverter.
The IntrCooll unit also performs two further important functions. First, it delivers additional moisture into the space, thereby supporting the operation of the humidification system. Second, it supplies 15,000 m³/h of air into the space, significantly improving indoor air quality.
As a result of the solution, air can now be supplied at temperatures as low as 14–15 °C to the problem areas of the Harman Becker plant, the air change rate has increased, humidification capacity has grown, and humidity control itself has also been optimised.
