Installation is as straightforward as replacing a traditional rooftop unit, with added benefits in terms of energy consumption, performance, and sustainability, making it an overall better, futureproof solution.

Solution components

A tailor-made air handling unit fitted for your existing system and facility, with plug & play installation, manufactured in accordance with RLT guidelines, as well as DIN and VDI standards. Naturally, it complies with ERP Eco-Design guidelines and carries EuroVent certification.
Design & construction:
  • a completely flat interior surface to prevent hidden condensation and ensure proper drainage of condensate water
  • the built-in components can be made of painted and chlorine- & acid-resistant steel sheets for long-term durability
  • a thermally separated frame and panel structure, designed to minimize condensation levels
  • the side wall panels are coated with multi-layer PVC on both the interior and exterior
  • due to the potential formation of condensate, additional drip trays are installed at critical areas prone to condensation
In case of higher hygiene requirements, the air handling units can be equipped with additional technical features (e.g., thermally separated frame and panel structure, completely flat interior surface with hygienic sealing, externally painted with BACSTOP antibacterial coating, etc.).

Oxyma - IntrCooll - IDEC technology
Technology 
Air cooler utilizing the nature-inspired, award-winning, and patented two-stage adiabatic technology (SEER >15-30), which we integrate as a pre-cooler into the Weger AHU. This significantly enhances the energy efficiency of the solution and ensures stable operation, even during extreme heat.

The system operates on the principle of natural evaporation of water. In the first stage, cold circulating water is produced through evaporation, and the air is pre-cooled in an air-water heat exchanger. In the second stage, the air is further cooled using the OxyVap wet evaporative media.

Through the two-stage process, the air temperature of the supplied air reaches 19°C under EuroVent conditions (35°C, RH30%), and in warmer, drier conditions (38°C, RH20%), it can even exceed 17°C.

The solution enables achieving an internal temperature of 25°C and a maximum relative humidity of 60% at an external temperature of 35°C, RH30%, all while reducing operating costs by 80-85% compared to traditional compressor-based cooling systems.

Water as a refrigerant

Water is one of the most powerful and abundant refrigerants on our planet, and it has a high enthalpy of vaporization. In two-stage adiabatic systems, 95% of the cooling performance is derived from this evaporation, meaning that significant temperature reduction can be achieved with relatively small amounts of water.

Water also has numerous positive properties, which means our solution does not require climate authority approval, a certified HVAC technician, leak testing, or costly and hazardous HFC and HFO refrigerants for servicing.
